Art in Tanzania is a Tanzanian NGO, also registered in Finland, which develops community work projects in towns and villages in Tanzania. We have volunteers abroad working together with numerous small local Tanzanian NGOs, arranging short and long-term volunteer placements in various areas such as teaching, IT training, health (HIV, malaria), women groups, arts and handicrafts, music, sports coaching and environmental and conservation projects. We operate in Dar es Salaam, Moshi, Arusha, Masai land and Zanzibar. We have around 100 volunteers in the country at any one time and 60 permanent staff to co-ordinate the projects. We finance our operations through volunteers fees and the proceeds from safari and other adventure programs.

Art in Tanzania is capable to place volunteers of different standards and qualifications. Aong our more than 300 projects we have less and high demanding posts. We also tailor projects according to the wishes and tasks of the volunteers.

The program fee includes airport transports, accommodation, breakfast and dinner, orientation and project guidance. We also have some 70 people staff with 10 expatriate members to help your internship period to be a success.

At Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar we have volunteers hotels, at Arusha private houses and at Masai villages you leave at camping condition is Masai bomas. We accommodate 2 - 6 people per room and you can also have upgrade options.
