Arrangements of room and food: Firstly, as for the accommodation, for a shared or one-bedroom independent apartment, the rent generally ranges from USD $450-1000 per month. It could be more or less depending on such factors as location, interior decoration and equipments, etc. As for the transport, it is easy and convenient to get around the city by the public transport system. It costs 2 Yuan (about $0.32 USD) to take a bus for a single trip. For subway, it varies from 3 Yuan (about $0.50 USD) to 9 Yuan (about $1.4 USD) per single trip depending on how far you travel. As for the meal, it costs about 15-30 Yuan (about $2.5-5 USD) to have an ordinary meal set. As for the entertainment or social events, it varies from bar to bar, club to club.

Visa information: As a foreigner, you are supposed to intern in China with a business F visa. It is not necessary though to apply for a work visa since the internship you are doing is not a full-time contract employment. Plus, in order to apply for a work visa, the eligible applicants need to have at least 2 year full-time employment history.
