Japanese Language – 17 hrs per week, 3.5 hrs per day. Small classes.   All levels offered: beginner, intermediate, advanced. Modern facility.  Start on any Monday (non-beginners)….except national holidays.  Absolute beginners start at beginning of each term, or first Monday of any month.Discover the local culture of Tohoku region of Japan. Extra activities include local excursions of the Tohoku area, Sendai sightseeing, origami, tea ceremony, calligraphy, and local festivals.

Skills/ Qualifications

No specific skills or qualification are required, except the participant needs to be friendly, open, flexible and should have good communication skills.

Arrangements for Room/Food

Food and Accommodation: Students live in nearby residence (dormitory). Furnished (bed, small fridge, gas range, TV, AC). Shared kitchen, shared shower room. $200 USD per week. $750 per month. You can arrange own housing if you prefer.

Medical Insurance: CSA requires all applicants to have or obtain adequate medical and accidental insurance before starting the program. Please be sure to send CSA a copy of your insurance card, and if you already have insurance then double check with your current insurance company to find out if you will be covered while overseas and how claims are processed.Overall, it is for your own protection to have such insurance.
