Yanapuma Spanish School is a professional Spanish school that donates its profits to sustainable development in indigenous and marginal communities through Yanapuma Foundation. Our school and offices are located in a beautiful historic building in Quito, from where we offer Spanish instruction at all levels, as well as a range of options to combine Spanish with volunteering or cultural excursions in Quito. We also offer Study and Travel packages that allow students to explore Ecuador with their teacher, from staying in an Amazon Lodge to exploring the Northern Andes, Ruta del Sol, and other travel itineraries. We also offer the chance to Study in an Indigenous Community, a program that takes the student into the heart of another indigenous culture. Other progras include Medical and Businesss Spanish and online classes to students all around the world.

We are constantly developing our professional curriculum with top quality materials, encouraging our teachers to further develop their skills and broaden their range of knowledge. Our teachers are all fully qualified and most have university degrees. In addition we are developing a unique methodology, based on the work of Paolo Freire (ecopedagogy), Lev Vygotsky and other academics, that treats the learning of language as more than mere skill acquisition, realizing that language represents culture and profoundly affects our worldview.

As an organization that is totally committed to achieving social change and environmental protection we also aim within our organization to model the changes that we would like to see in our society – committing ourselves to open and horizontal communication, transparency, and collaboration at all levels. We also strive to keep our prices at the most reasonable levels for a professional school, offering the best quality of service and value for money to the student.

Basic class price includes all materials. All the student needs is a pen or pencil! Homestay price includes 2 meals (breakfast and evening meal). Other programs have their own prices, and are all-inclusive.

No previous knowledge of Spanish is required. We work with students at all levels.

Yanapuma will arrange accommodation according to student's personal preferences - homestay, hostal, hotel.
