We offer an Intensive 8-week Summer program. Summer program includes 4 courses that are three credits each. Each course is offered in two weeks (Spanish 101, 201, 301, 401 series).

Spanish 101, 201, 301 and 401 series are our introductory, intermediate, advanced and seminar level programs. At the introductory level, the semester program begins with Spanish 101 and moves through 102, 201, and 202 during the semester. The following semester, the student could take 301, 302, 401, and 402, completing our four levels of Spanish instruction.
400-level courses may be designed with the assistance of the instructor to focus on specific topics and areas of interest, such as:

• Salvadoran Archeology, Pre-Columbian
• Salvadoran History since 1932
• Ecology and Geography of El Salvador
• Political Transitions in El Salvador
• The FMLN and ARENA in the Post-War Period
• Agricultural and Environmental Issues

No sepcific qualification required but the student must be flexible, helpful, motivative, creative and eager to learn new methodologies.

Accommodation Options: Hotel and Rental Accommodations are available. Within a two block area in La Libertad, there are at least six hotels. Rooms are also available at many of the restaurants. When students arrive, they should start at the Restaurant Punta Roca. From there you can see most of the hotels, and then you can proceed directly to the one that most suits you and your budget.

We can make a reservation... let us know the dates and what is required. (AC, TV, Private bath). Our preference has been La Posada Familiar, as it is cheap ($15 -$20 per night w/private bath), has a restaurant, is safe and comfortable. No AC, but the rooms all have fans, it is secure, lots of tourists stay there, and there is a nice rooftop veranda with views of the ocean.

Cancellation before the course starting date:  Cancellation fees are charged as follows, and any balance is refunded less non-refundable items and bank fees and payment processing charges (if any) 

Cancellations received: 

• More than 21 days before the course begins: $200 cancellation fee;
• More than 7, but less than 21 days before the course starting date:
• Cancellation fee in the amount of 50% of the program fees;
• There is no refund if the cancellation received 7 or less days before the course starting date.
• In no case money will be refunded once the course and/or lodging has started. 
• No refund can be given for partial attendance or the discontinuance or interruption of a course.
