The objective of the International Business program offered during the summer is to help participants develop a greater awareness and sensitivity towards the cross-cultural issues involved in today's international business arena. The successful managers of this century will be the ones who are culturally sensitive and tolerant towards the differences encountered in work-related values, whether in the context of joint-ventures, strategic alliances, mergers and acquisitions or simply in face-to-face interactions with people from other cultural horizons.

Students will enroll in three courses: two business courses and one French language course. Both business courses are conducted in English. Class lectures and discussions will be complemented by visits to companies and organizations throughout Grenoble. This will give students the opportunity to discuss issues studied in the classroom with local business leaders and to see the concepts they are learning in context. In addition, this program includes a day trip to Annecy and a weekend trip to Paris. The Grenoble Ecole de Management operates on the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). Each business course meets for a total of 30 contact hours or 6 ETCTS credits and is typically worth 3 credits in the US semester system. The Survival French course meets for a total of 15 contact hours or 3 ECTS credits and is typically worth an additional 1.5 credits in the US semester system. Typically, you will earn 7.5 credits at the completion of this program. However, it is up to the discretion of your academic advisor how much credit will be awarded.
