As a student in the only UK university to be recognised as a Centre for Excellence in Tourism, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the leisure and travel industry, taking you through current trends and global issues in a high class learning environment. The ability to speak another language whilst working in the tourism industry will allow you to develop your career outside the UK as well as enhancing your understanding of the culture and history of countries throughout the world. You will gain a sound ability to speak, write, listen and read the German language as well as acquiring a comprehensive knowledge of the German business environment, politics and culture. You will also learn translation and interpreting skills and gain specific subject knowledge to help you get the career you want.
