KU business students are able to participate in this unique program through a new exchange agreement between the KU School of Business and the European Business School (EBS). EBS was founded in 1971 and established a campus in 1980 in the city of Oestrich-Winkel, located outside Frankfurt in the heart of the Rhine-Main region, in geographical terms, at the centre of Europe. This region is a hub of economic development with a population of more than 4.7 million, 320,000 companies, including 2,200 high-tech production plants, sales and services organizations. EBS is the oldest private business school with university status in Germany with a top ranking and a program structure similar to the US model. EBS hosts roughly 300 exchange students from all over the world each year.
Most of the undergraduate courses at EBS are taught in English and all of the graduate courses are in English. Undergraduate students completing a semester at EBS can receive up to 15 hours of credit and MBA students can receive up to 9 hours for completion of a semester.
EBS also offers a 10 day “German Survival Course” prior to the semester that students may decide to take if they would like to learn more of the language while in Germany; however, it is not required. A list of courses is available on their website. - Cost/Program Fee
