The environment is in real danger at present in Brazil and much of the population doesn't have adequate environmental awareness or education. For these reasons some organizations, like the one mentioned below, are extremely important to raise the level of awareness about the environment in Brazil.

Major Responsibilities

Volunteer are required for providing education to the local population, by working on the reforestation of destroyed areas, by collecting waste, by monitoring the local tourist attractions and by cleaning polluted rivers. Volunteers are needed to work in all of these areas. The volunteer will be accommodated with a host family selected by Experimento at a location near the project.

What program fee Includes

Included in the program fee:

  • Application processing, interview and pre departure orientation in home country.
  • Pick up at the international airport and transfer to host family.
  • Orientation (country, family life, project) and language evaluation at our offices.
  • 30 hours of one-on-one Spanish lessons with materials and assistance as to activities in Buenos Aires, except in the 8 week program where no language training is included.
  • Sleeper bus transfer to and from host community.
  • Emergency support system.
  • Placement and follow up of the project.
  • Contribution / donation to the volunteer project.
  • Family accommodations with meals during full program unless otherwise requested.
  • Transfer to airport for departure if you choose to leave the country directly after the program ends.

Not included in the program

  • International airfare to Buenos Aires.
  • Transportation during homestays and during the project.
  • Medical accident insurance (obligatory).
  • Personal expenses.
  • Lunches are not included during the homestay in Buenos Aires Monday through Friday
  • Language training is not included in the 8 week program.
Skills/ Qualifications

No specific skills or qualifications are required. We expect our volunteers to be kind, flexible, friendly and should have good communication skills.

Any Missing Important Information

Payment Schedule: A deposit of 20% of the total program fee is required with your application. It is non-refundable upon notification of acceptance and is applied to the total program fee.The balance of the program fee is required 30 days before departure.

Cancellation policy:

  • Cancellation after acceptance and prior to placement confirmation - the deposit is forfeited.
  • Cancellation after confirmation of placement - 50% of the program fee is forfeited.
  • No show or early departure from program - 100% of the program fee is forfeited.
