Volunteer Abroad in Bangladesh

Bangladesh is located at the flat delta of the mighty Ganges and Brahmaputra rivers, and has been regularly devastated by water flowing down from the rivers as well as cyclones blowing in from the Bay of Bengal. The poverty-stricken country won its independence from Pakistan in the early 1970s. It's been a hard fight, but slowly tourists have been arriving. A real highlight is scenic and urban Cox's Bazaar.

Volunteering in Bangladesh is an excellent way to serve the country. It presents opportunities to explore this great country and thoroughly experience its culture in a different way. Volunteer opportunities in Bangladesh include: working in an orphanage, teaching English, working in healthcare projects, and supporting many local non-profit organizations.
