Volunteer Abroad in Japan

Japan is a fascinating land of four main islands famed for its proud samurai warrior culture, age-old respect for the royal family, the dominant feature of Mount Fuji and an utterly modern subculture. Tokyo bursts with neon-sign clubs, pachinko parlors, noodle restaurants and more urban joys. In old Kyoto, beautiful, Japanese-minimalist Mahayana Buddhist temples aplenty can be admired, with some of them cloaked in mist with evergreen trees drooping over them. Geisha still ply their centuries-old trade here.

Volunteering in Japan is an excellent way to serve the country. It presents opportunities to explore this great country and thoroughly experience its culture in a different way. Volunteer opportunities in Japan includes: working in an orphanage, teaching English, working in healthcare projects, and supporting many local non-profit organizations.
