Volunteer Abroad in Nigeria

Travelers find Nigeria blissful for its many Atlantic tropical forest, beaches, remnants of centuries-old civilizations plus national parks. Independence from Great Britain was achieved in 1960. After decades of instability, democracy regained the upper hand near the turn of the 21st century. Still, ethnic and religious tensions are making their savage mark on Nigerian society, and this much squabbling and armed conflict over the newly discovered offshore oil and gas deposits. That being said, Nigeria is still a charming land worth exploring.

Volunteering in Nigeria is an excellent way to serve the country. It presents opportunities to explore this great country and thoroughly experience its culture in a different way. Volunteer opportunities in Nigeria include: working in an orphanage, teaching English, working in healthcare projects, and supporting many local non-profit organizations.
