Volunteer Abroad in Madagascar

Mid-sized Madagascar, the fourth largest island in the world, punches well above its own weight when it comes to diversity of plant and animal life. Located in the Indian Ocean off the southeastern coast of Africa, Madagascar is home to no fewer than 3,000 indigenous species of butterfly. Isalo National Park and Tsingy Nature Reserve are great places for exploring the island's flora and fauna. Beautiful beaches with palm trees are also found here along with volcanoes forests and plateaus.

Volunteering in Madagascar is an excellent way to serve the country. It presents opportunities to explore this great country and thoroughly experience its culture in a different way. Volunteer opportunities in Madagascar includes: working in an orphanage, teaching English, working in healthcare projects, and supporting many local non-profit organizations.
