Currently a number of schools in Ghana are searching for volunteers to assist them with Public Health education. Volunteers with an interest in Public Health education will find this placement opportunity very satisfying. Successful volunteers will have the chance to develop, deliver and evaluate lesson plans on the topics of HIV/AIDS, Malaria and Tuberculosis. These lesson plans will be directed towards school-aged children attending Primary School and Junior High School.An emphasis will be placed on activity based group learning and creative learning techniques are welcome. This placement can operate in either a rural or urban setting, depending on the volunteer’s preference. Volunteers will work closely with the Ghana Education Service (GES) and the local Public Health department.

Skills Required:
- Be a Public Health student or have relevant volunteer/work experience in the area of Public Health
- Posses an intermediate understanding of HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria and be willing to learn as you go along
- Be comfortable with public speaking
- Excellent communication skills (both writing and speaking)
- Open-minded
- Culturally Sensitive
- Quick to adapt and flexible
- Arrangements for Room/Food
Food: The project cost bears the main meals and for further other additional food the volunteer has to pay through his own pocket.
Accommodation: The AndyGlo Foundation manages the entire accommodation and supervision during the project period. The volunteer will be entitled to a room in host family with normal standards depending upon the project and it location.
