Volunteering as a Girl Club Coordinator is an excellent opportunity for individuals with an interest in Gender Issues or Girl Education. Volunteers are greatly needed to work with Facilitating Learning Opportunities of Women in Emerging Regions (FLOWER), a local NGO in the Eastern Region of Ghana to further develop and organize the girls clubs in the area. Work will include developing lesson plans and activities, arranging larger club meetings, proposal writing to fund ongoing activities and the running of a 3-day girls club camp. Volunteers will be based out of the community of Asamankese and can expect to regularly visit the surrounding rural schools.

Arrangements for Room/Food

Food: The project cost bears the main meals and for further other additional food the volunteer has to pay from his own pocket.

Accommodation: The AndyGlo Foundation manages the entire accommodation and supervision during the project period. The volunteer will be entitled to a room in host family with normal standards depending upon the project and it location.
