Eskifjorour is a beautiful fishing town (pop. 972) which is located at the northern shore of the fjord Eskifjorour. It is built on a small sand spit and up the slopes of the mountain which rises above the town. Its main industries are fishing and small-scale farming. Possible tasks on this project could be planting trees, taking old fences down and beautifying the town and the surrounding area. Volunteers may also clean up the coastline and even make hiking paths. The work available will depend on the weather conditions. Please keep in mind that the work might be physically hard at times.

No specific skills or qualification are required, except the volunteer needs to be friendly, open, flexible and should have good communication skills.

Accommodation: Volunteers will be staying in a nice community center. Mattresses will be provided and everyone is asked to bring his/her own warm sleeping bag. Volunteers can have showers at the local swimming pool and sports centre. 

Food: The food will be provided for the duration of the project and everyone is expected to do their fair share of the cooking/cleaning.
