Project Review

Maximizing Facts on HIV and AIDS Youth Group is a committed AIDS Support Organization established to make a difference in the health and lives of young people infected and affected by HIV and AIDS. Maxfacta is composed of 40 members, both young men & women. This group has developed a children home. That’s why they have started this food farming programme. Some food products and profit made from the sale of food products will support this youth group programme of child empowerment. Volunteering in this programme will give hope of life to these children staying in this Maxfacta run childrens home. Experience with Volunteers: the community has a great experience of hosted more than 30 Volunteers before. The main objective of this project is to make the community aware that its people are responsible of their own development and they can use what they have to improve the living standards i.e. “Sustainable independent Development.”

 
 
Major Responsibilities

    Major job responsibilities of volunteers:

    • Construction of food storage facilities
    • Agriculture awareness campaign through dancing, drama, game
    • Community visit and cultural exchange
    • Food security research
    • Construction of a poultry house
    • Setting up Irrigation farming, grafting

 
 
Cost/Program Fee
Euros 300 for 3 Weeks

    • Visa extension fee

Skills/ Qualifications

No specific skills or qualifications are required. We expect our volunteers to be kind,flexible, friendly and having good communication skills.

 

 
 
Arrangements for Room/Food

Volunteers will be accommodated in one of the school compounds within Kangudo community. Volunteers will be invloved in doing different activities like  cooking and assigned activities.
