Kalenjin communities are famous for their Long Distance Athletics Runners also worth to know their rich traditions culture. Get deep and learn rooted traditions, e.g. ways of life, food, religion, cultural heritage and ceremony rituals. Also enjoy a great game drive in Lake Nakuru national park. Learn about Kallenjin’s food and their daily activities, (such as farming). learn their traditional culture of sub-clan known as ipinda (joining a named age set) or turudo (traditional initiation ceremonies)include paying dowry.

Major responsibilities of volunteers:

• Sharing cultural values

• Helping local people in various ways   
• Making local people familiar about your language

Program fee covers:

• Transport (including game drive and community visit)
• Airport transfers on arrival and departing days
• All guides in English
• Game drives (Wildlife viewing)
• All meals (breakfast, lunch & dinner)
• All community visits and activities
• Accommodation in hotel
• All necessary fees (Park, museum…)
• Driver & guide allowance
• 16% VAT / government tax
• All necessary miscellaneous

No specific skills or qualifications are required. We expect our volunteers to be flexible, friendly, independent, dedicated, self-motivated and should have good communication skills.
