The organisation works with all wild animals including bears, elephants, gibbons and macaques; and occasionally assists with exotic wildlife rescued from smugglers. One rehabilitation project currently houses over seventy animals. The aim of this centre is the rehabilitation and long-term care of these animals most have which have suffered abuse at the hands of humans as well as to provide a sustainable program with lasting impact, by means of an education program in wildlife and conservation.

  • Assist with food preparation
  • Cleaning of cages
  • General animal welfare activities
  • Data collection and education programs
  • Development of the site is ongoing and volunteers are required to become involved in whatever stage of the project is being progressed during their stay

Skills/ Qualifications

Individuals with related experience, expertise or proven interest are eligible to apply. Besides, volunteers must be over 18 years of age and in good physically fit. Basic command of English spoken is essential needed and good teamwork skill.

Arrangements for Room/Food

Food: Food is not provided and can easily be purchased at the local market.

Accommodation: A good local style hut with toilet will be provided (2 people share a room) plus shelf, fan, mosquito net, pillow and bed sheet. Microwave and refrigerator are available and satellite TV are provided at the main area.

Any Missing Important Information

Placement Costs: Accommodation and food, plus a donation, costs either US$ 918 for the first 3 weeks + US$ 92 per week for each additional week OR US$ 825 for the first 8 weeks. All on-site transportation, orientation, supervision and training are provided in the above cost.
