In this program, you will be volunteering in the beautiful country of  Mauritius  with the “The Blue Lagoon and Coral Reef Monitoring” Project. The aim of this project is to help preserve, protect and restore the marine and coastal regions in the Blue Bay and Pointe d’Esny regions.

Volunteers are involved in the monitoring of the reef and duties will vary depending on the weather and sea conditions. Volunteers will also be able to enhance their knowledge of the marine environment through this project. Volunteers will also get a unique opportunity of snorkelling in the beautiful waters to conduct various research works. The volunteer duties includes:

Lagoon Monitoring

Sea Turtle Monitoring

Coral Farming

Beach and Mangrove Cleaning

Educational Campaigns

November 11th 2019, November 25th 2019, December 9th 2019, January 13th 2020, January 20th 2020

2 weeks is £830, 3 weeks is £1075, 4 weeks is £1350, 5 weeks is £1610, 6 weeks is £1870 and 8 weeks is £2,395.

Program fee includes:

Airport pickup and drop off

Accommodation in self-catered house with kitchen

Research and snorkelling equipment

All activities that are part of the volunteering programme

Personal and food expenses



You can join for a minimum of 2 weeks up to 12 weeks in duration as a short-term volunteer.
