Overview
Volunteer with Hillel in Buenos Aires or Cordoba, Argentina! Hillel's Alternative Breaks programs in Argentina give student volunteers the chance to gain valuable leadership and professional experience in Jewish communities. Volunteer projects range from social justice projects, culture exchange groups, and advocacy for Israel to business clubs and arts and culture programs.
Hillel understands that students relate best to other students, and attempts to engage others, seeking first to understand them, and then to identify common interests, offerings, or experiences that meet them where they are. With a focus on relationships and not on participation, we create vibrant, relevant, Jewish life across campus, enhancing the accessibility of Jewish experiences for all students through conversations with peers. Hillel invests in training students to serve as engagers, organizers and educators of their fellow students. They learn to build authentic relationships, create new Jewish experiences, expand communities, and impart sophisticated and relevant Jewish content.
Through our international public service effort, Weinberg Tzedek Hillel, we are dedicated to transforming life on campus and in the community. Framed by the Jewish values of tzedakah (righteousness), gemilut chasidim (acts of loving kindness), and tikkun olam (repairing the world), Tzedek Hillel engages and empowers students to grow intellectually and spiritually, and to think creatively about social justice while bringing about meaningful social change.
