Overview
Do you have a soft spot in your heart for disadvantaged children? Do you want to make a difference in their lives while on an exciting adventure in Cambodia? Cambodia is a country with a rich history and remarkable sights. Sadly, the effects of the overwhelming genocide, war and corruption are still felt in every part of Cambodian society. Widespread poverty and corruption has led to a great number of abandoned children and more and more families are opting to send their children into orphanages. This current trend is escalating the number of orphans in the country.
As a volunteer, you will assist the local staffs with preparation of meals and supervising the children. You will care for the children, teach them English and other subjects, equip them with valuable life skills and share your knowledge and talents. You will also help organize excursions and extracurricular activities like drawing, singing, dancing, crafts, and games for the children. You will also assist with the administrative, fund-raising and maintenance duties in the orphanage. By joining this program, you will provide much needed love, care and encouragement to the otherwise overlooked and neglected orphans. The attention you provide as well as the knowledge and skills you will teach will give these children a chance for a happy and fruitful adult life. You will also gain unforgettable memories with the children and provide relief to the overworked orphanage staffs.
Important Information
