Overview
Join the Junior Art Club as a volunteer and transform rejected textiles into stunning works of art using sewing skills and traditional/electric sewing machines. As a volunteer, you'll lead a team of resourceful individuals in this creative endeavor. The resulting art pieces will be showcased in mixed media exhibitions at public spaces. These creations will serve a dual purpose: some will be donated, while others will be sold to support the Junior Art Club's projects in Ghana and Italy.
- * Pre departure support and of finding secured and comfortable choice of accommodation * Pick-up from and to the overseas airport
- * Pick-up from and to the overseas airport * 24-hour local support from the JAC in-country staff * Administrative costs and full co-ordination of the projects and your placement
- * A definite project objective * A flexible itinerary of opportunities available during your project (example seeing other parts of Italy, optional) * A series of social events and recreational activities (optional)
- * Availability of project materials * A JAC T-shirt * Certificate of Appreciation * Provision of lunch and small chops 3 times a week (Mix of African and Italian dishes)
- Visa, travel to Italy, insurance, food, accommodation, vaccination costs, spending and transport in Italy money.
