Kenya is still a developing country and many people struggle with the harsh realities of poverty. Sadly, this effects children the most as they are often neglected and overlooked by their parents who are unable to care for them. This has led to an increase in the number of orphaned children in Kenya. These poor children do not have homes and families, and they fend for themselves on the streets. These children are also in high risk of falling prey to negative situation and need to be protected.
In this volunteer program, you will work alongside the local staffs in an orphanage and provide the children with care and love they deserve. You will tutor the children, organize educational activities, share your skills and knowledge, and plan various fun activities for them. You will also provide emotional support and hope to the children, and help the staffs with cleaning, cooking, making meals and planning events and day to day running of the orphanage. Your help in this program will provide valuable support to the overworked and underappreciated staff, and provide the children hope for a brighter future. With your help, you will help ensure a safe childhood fort these vulnerable children and provide them with a chance for a happy life. You will also get an eye opening experience and feel fulfilled knowing you have made a real positive impact on the world.
Volunteers below the age of 18 years will need to submit parental consent or must be accompanied by an adult guardian.

Iyer- Kenya vsisit
My family visited Kenya for first time with my older son volunteering in med clinic and rest of us at Orphanage. The host family Barnabas and his wife and kids were very warm and hospitable.
They make sure you feel at home and we ate together as families during stay. it helped us learn about kenya culture staying with them. Thank you Barnabas, his wife Mila, his son Joseph, daughter Dina. Thanks to driver Evans and Joshua who drove us to different places. There was National museum visit and snake park, giraffe feeding attraction, elephant orphanages that we visited during the stay also. There is masai market to buy handmade masai products for gifts back home. we also went to Bomas cultural heritage show for Africans, and it was good show. overall we saw a lot of attraction and did a lot of volunteering.
