Khinalig - Galakhudat one day hiking trip

We will not only walk on the foothills of the Great Caucasian Mountains but also, explore the unique culture and lifestyle of the local people.

Khinalig is a small mountain village situated at 2200+m. Altitude in Gudialchai valley surrounded by Tufandag 4191m, its age is more than 5,000 years.

This is the highest and most isolated settlement in the Greater Caucasus mountain range, located on the border with Dagestan, 63 km from Quba. Its residents numbering about 2,000 still retain unique cultural traditions, speak their own language, and wear their own traditional clothes.

Galeykhudat village is situated at 2200+ m. İn the foothills of the Gizilgaya plateau`s steep rocks, a bit away from Guba – Khinalig road/ The village has saved its antiquity. It is the only village near that its people are Azerbaijani turks.
