Overview
Chittagong Hill tract is the second best attraction of Bangladesh, surround by many small and big hills, stunning nature and tribal life of Chakma, Marma, Murong tribes make Rangamati and Bandarban Hill district special. Around 11 tribal communities are living in Chittagong hill tract and during this tour, we will try to explore the most remote and unique tribes who are still keeping their own traditions and culture. We will boat tour in largest manmade Captained, Sangu river, hike to the tribal villages, eat with the local tribe's groups and be a part of their life!
- Day 1 - Train Trip to Chittagong & Sightseeing
Meet with our guide at your hotel at 06:30 am sharp and transfer to Dhaka central Railway station. The train leaves at around 7:40 am. We will take the morning intercity train to Chittagong.
⊕ Train in Bangladesh is one of the most popular rides for locals and tourists as well. Air-conditioned, toilet facility and you can walk also. It’s unique for photography where you will have plenty of people, life, nature and moving subjects.
⊕ Fully day train ride has several stops in the district station and that’s how you have the chance do walking and taking pictures . It arrives normally at 2:00 pm in Chittagong.
⊕ Upon arrival, visit the 2nd World war cemetery, stroll around the city center to see the life of Chittagong.

- Day 2 - Chittagong Ship Breaking yard & Rangamati Hills
The morning after breakfast check out and drive to the Chittagong most crowded fish market.
⊕ This market is the largest sea fish market in Bangladesh. The market sits early morning for some hours, fisherman with the boat coming from the sea to sell fishes here. a brief visit of the fish market and then drive to Rangmamati Hill district.
⊕ on the way to Kumira , shitakuda area, stop for visiting worlds one of the largest and famous ships breaking yard. It’s the fourth-largest ship-breaking yard and every time you visit, at least 50 to 70 ships you can see are dying there. We will take a boat tour of the ship-breaking yard of sitakunda.
⊕ Then continue our visit including the scrap market of ship breaking. You can do some shopping there like buying old ships items from the market at an affordable rate.
⊕ We will continue our drive to rangamati. On the way stops for photography of natural beauty, toilet and a cup of tea. Upon arrival to the Lake city Rangamait, visit the tribal cultural museum, Chakma tribal village, hanging bride, etc. Dinner and overnight in Rangamati.
Rangamati hill district is one of the beautiful district situated on the Kaptai lake. Dominated by the Chakma tribal community and the highest Buddhist people in Bangladesh offers a unique journey in Rangmati. Here the main mood of transportation is by boat, so visit this district you will need a boat tour in Kaptai lake. The markets in the tribal district are the main part of the visit besides natural beauty. Markets sit mostly twice in a week, so it's important when you planning a tour in Rangmati and Bandarban, put the market days in between.
- Day 3 - Daylong Kaptai Lake Boat Tour
After breakfast at the hotel,
⊕ drive to the city center of Rangamti to visit the most important Buddhist monastery of Rangamati called Raj Bana Vihara. Biggest monastery having more than some hundreds monk and the most respected chief monk's mommy is here. Locals have a belief that he had some spiritual power and he motivated the largest community to become Buddhist.
⊕ From there, we will take a reserve boat for a tour of Kaptai Lake. Lake kaptai is about 700 sq km and it’s the main source for the livelihood of thousands of peoples. Surrounded by hills, you will get some spectacular views of nature and lifestyle.
⊕ Day time people do fishing and it’s the main route for transportation for a lot of people. While cursing in Kaptai Lake we will visit several tribal villages of Chakma, Tripura tribe.
⊕ Lunch is in an island restaurant.
⊕ while cruising we can also see the people who are living near the lake, their everyday life, visit also Buddhist monasteries
Upon arrival, free time and overnight in Rangamati .
- Day 4 - Rangamati - kayaking – Sangu river cruise - Bandarban
Bandarban, one of the most remote regions in the country. the Bandarban town stands on the Sangu River, lying in the heart of the rich tribal landscapes of the hill tracks. One of the last bastions of Buddhism in South Asia, this captivating hill country is home to some 13 different ethnic minorities of which Morong & the marma are the largest. These indigenous tribes differ in both physical appearance and in their religious and cultural beliefs from the countries majority Bengali population, In these two days, you have the opportunity to discover a little something of the nature and human diversity of this incredible setting.
⊕ The morning after breakfast, we will drive to Bandarbans through the hilly road, we will stop at some viewpoints to get some fascinating views of the kaptai lake.
⊕ we will cross a ferry and near to the riverside you can also do kayaking if you want by yourself
⊕ visit Marma tribal village who are the dominant tribe, see the local way of living, stops at the local markets to meet and greet with tribes with a cup of tea
⊕ visit the beautiful golden temple, a beautiful decorative Buddhist temple
⊕ Afternoon travel to the old market part to take a leisure boat ride on Sangu River. From around 4:00 pm, the river becomes very active. it is the only source of water for many so afternoon people come down to washing and cleaning ,
Back to the Hotel and Overnight in Bandarban.
- Day 5 - Chimbuk Hill - Tribes - Hiking – Dhaka
The morning after breakfast, a small hiking tour near the city hill area for 02 hours (optional). then check out from hotel &
⊕ The morning we will start driving to deep and remote parts of the bandarbans to explore the tribes living in the hilltops and footholds. first, we will go to visit the interesting mro tribal village
⊕ followed visiting bawm tribal village and their small market where the display their traditional dresses
⊕ We visit the market followed by lunch in a tribal house. All traditional tribal food will be served.
⊕ lunch in a local restaurant.
⊕ enjoy the sunset from Nilachol viewpoint and then take the overnight luxury air conditioning bus from Bandarban to Dhaka.
