Impressive landscape formed by the turquoise waters and the imposing mountains in the backgroundir is located in the Andes Mountains at an altitude of 2,500 meters above sea level, in the commune of San José de Maipo.

After crossing the different towns that are on the sides of the Maipo River , we will stop to visit the town of San Jose de Maipo , where whoever wants to can have breakfast.

We will visit the Tinoco tunnel, built in 1906, through which a small railway used to connect the high bridge with the mining town El Volcan.
Before reaching the reservoir, we will stop at las cáscaras, an abandoned mining camp that was built so that the workers could withstand the inclement weather, so hostile in the area (today we only observe it from the outside since it is closed).

From there, continuing along a rustic road, we arrive at the impressive landscape of El Yeso Reservoir, with its turquoise waters and imposing mountains in the background always covered with a blanket of snow . It is the perfect backdrop to immortalize the moment with a good photograph.
