4x4 hike in North Basse-Terre

Departure from hotels, We cross the city of Point to go to Basse Terre or we make a small foray into the town of Baie Mahault inside the sugar cane fields. Along the way we can also observe some pineapple plantations, some varieties of bananas as well as different fruits depending on the season (mombins, maracujas, guava etc…).

10:00 am:

Then we go to the town of Sainte Rose at the northern end of Basse Terre where we stop at the very authentic small fishing port facing the large cul de sac marin. We continue our journey and we are now on the leeward coast, on the Caribbean sea side.

11:00 :

Swimming stop: One of the prettiest beaches in the region, Grande cove in the town of Deshaie.

12:30 p.m .:

Lunch: In a traditional restaurant where you can taste the local specialties.

2:00 p.m .:

Saut d'Acomat (or forest house + crayfish waterfall - depending on the public and the weather): After a ten-minute walk, we discover a magnificent natural swimming pool carved out by the Esperance river.
3:00 p.m .:

Return via the crossing route
