India is a country of great contrast and fascinating traditions. You can find this nowhere more so than in Delhi and Jaipur, the two cities in Northern India famed for captivating architecture and history. These cities also have their fair shares of problems, among them homeless children, gender discrimination and rampant poverty. There are many organizations that are tackling these problems and successfully empowering the disadvantaged. RCDP has been working with these organizations to make their programs more meaningful and effective. Our internship programs were all started by the grassroots communities and solely for their own benefit.
The RCDP organizes India Internship program especially for international students. When you join any of the programs, you will help them achieve their project goals while also exploring the country that is colorfully, noisy and full of history and astonishing diversity. India is after all like no other country. In our internship program, the intern is involved in daily project activities. In most cases, interns develop a report paper in their particular area of interest by working together with the RCDP India project staff. Generally, the director of this project serves as a supervisor for the intern.
The choice areas of the RCDP India Internship are as follows:
• Orphanage Support
• Teaching English
• Health Care & Medical
• HIV/AIDS Awareness
• Women Empowerment
No specific skills or qualifications are required to join our Internship projects in India except the Medical project, which requires a proof of experience in a medical field, such as a medical student ID, EMT or paramedic certification, or nursing or physician's credentials.
Interns below the age of 18 years require parental consent.
