Overview

Our 3 Day Tour combines the experiences from the other tours with a in depth cultural experience. You will not only see beautiful nature, sunsets and sunrises, get active during farming activities, but you will also be part of a traditional Baci Ceremony in the village!

  • Day 1 - Mekong to Ban Mouang Keo

On the first day, we pick you up at your hotel and drive to Pak Ou by Tuktuk. A boat takes us over the Mekong to Ban Mouang Keo, where we visit the lush jungle gardens cultivated by the local community. We have lunch here, before starting our trek up the mountain to the homestay. Here, we engage in some farmers activities according to the seasons. After dinner, spend the night at our homestay by a bonfire sleeping under millions of stars.

  • Day 2 - Mouang Keo village

Wake up at 6AM for a 20 minute hike up the mountain to overlook the amazing view of the Mekong and Ou rivers. Depending on the season and weather conditions, you may be able to see a breathtaking sea of clouds.

We have breakfast at the homestay and join the farmers for some seasonal activities. Enjoy another lunch around midday at the mountain before trekking back down to Mouang Keo village. Again we offer you a variety of different activities that you can choose from. If you like, you can try the locally brewed whiskey from the village. After dinner, we spend the night at the village.

  • Day 3 - Special lunch and a traditional Baci Ceremony

After a morning in our jungle gardens, the local villagers host a special lunch and a traditional Baci Ceremony for you, to wish you luck on your travels. You will get the opportunity to learn about this traditional ceremony that is so often celebrated in Laos. We would also recommend providing a small donation to support the local community. On our way back to Luang Prabang we can stop at Pak Ou Caves or the Rock Art on the cliff in front of Pak Ou, if you like to visit these tourist attractions.

Return back in Luang Prabang at around 6PM.
