Overview
Langtang Gosaikunda Trek leads travelers to the astounding valley Langtang. The valley is ornamented by the crystal clear mountain lakes, enormous and snow-clad mountains. The region is unharmed and gives trekkers a mesmerizing experience. This region lines in the Himalayan region to the north of Kathmandu valley. The Mt. Langtang Lirung (7246 m), the tallest peak of this region, blesses the valley.
Some other well-known peaks of this region includes Dorje Lakpa (6,996 m/ 22,854 ft.), Langtang Luriung (7,234 m/ 23,734 ft), Langtang Ri (7,205 m/ 23 638 ft.), and much others. Langtang National Park time-honored in 1976 AD and as the leading Himalayan National park has diverse fauna and floras. The trail takes along the blooming rhododendron and bamboo forest.
Langtang Gosaikunda Trek encompasses exploration of the Sherpa locality, Cheese factory and Kyanjin Gompa at the elevation of 3800 meters. This region has the finest cheese made of Yak milk. The kind gesture and hospitality of this region people appeal to every traveler. This region is also recognized for the unique Sherpa culture, tradition, and customs.
We can have a striking 360-degree view of the Langtang Himalaya. The circuit trek helps us to explore the sacred Gosainkunda Lake is at the elevation of 4380 meters. This lake has the weight of both natural and religious values. Both the Hindus and Buddhist pilgrimage visit this lake every year with the preference of their religious belief. There are other beautiful lakes like Bhairava Kunda in this region.
- Day 1 - Appear at Kathmandu through Tribhuwan International airport (TIA).
The frontier treks team greets you at the airport and then transfer you to the hotel.
Overnight at the hotel. - Day 2 - Drive to Syabru Bensi (1,462m/4,795ft) Duration: 7 hours
A scenic drive from the Kathmandu valley around the foothills and alongside the Trishuli riverbank takes us to the Syabru Besi.
Overnight at the teahouse. - Day 3 - Trek to Lama Hotel (2,500m/8,200ft) Duration: 5 hour
We cross the trail of Bhote Koshi and Langtang Khola. After that, we head towards Ramche (2400 meters). On the way, there is a possibility of encountering Red Pandas, Monkey and Bears.
Overnight at the teahouse - Day 4 - Trek to Mundu (3,550m/11,645ft) Duration: 5-6 hours
We follow the trail that takes us to Ghoda Table (Horse Tables) and eventually heads to Mundu.
Overnight at the teahouse. - Day 5 - Trek to Kyanjing RI (4,773m/15,655ft) and trace back to Kyanjing Gompa (3,798m/12,495ft) Duration: 7-8 hours
We walk across Laja Khola and climb up to moraine. We can observe the beautiful icefall “Kyanjing” from the Kyanking Ri and Langtang Lirung.
Overnight at the teahouse. - Day 6 - Travel around Kyangjuma Gompa and hike to Chorkari RI (5,050m/16,564ft) Duration: 7 hours.
Today is an acclimatization day. We explore the surroundings monastery, cheeses factory, and hike to Chorkari Ri and then trek back to Kyangjuma Gompa.
Overnight at the teahouse - Day 7 - Trek to the Lama Hotel (2,500m/8,200ft) Duration: 5-6 hours
We retrace our trail way to Lama hotel.
Overnight at the teahouse. - Day 8 - Trek to the Thulo Syabru (2,235m/ 7,330ft) duration: 5-6 hours
The trail today ascends and takes us to Thulo Syabru. We can observe gigantic and magnificent peaks like Langtang Himal, other neighbor peaks, pine, and juniper forests while we trek.
Overnight at the teahouse. - Day 9 - Trek to Shin Gompa (3,330m/10,925ft) Duration: 3-5 hours.
We trek ascending to Dimsa village. The trail passes through Oak, Rhododendron, and hemlock forests and takes us to Gumba. Through the journey, we can have an outstanding view of the Langtang valley and Langtang valley. From the Gumba the trail takes us to the Shin Gompa. The village is popular for Cheese production.
Overnight at the teahouse. - Day 10 - Trek to Gosaikunda (4,300m/14,104ft) Duration: 5-6 hours
From the top of the Laurebinayak, we can see the surrounding huge mountains. We walk ascending via rough roads and reach the sacred Gosaikunda Lake. Throughout the journey, we can have a dazzling view of the Ganesh Himal range, Tibetan Peaks, Manaslu range and Langtang Lirung. The appealing beauty of the Gosaikunda Lake is sensational.
- Day 11 - Trek to Ghopte (3,430m/11,250ft) via Laurebinayak Yak pass (4,610m/15,120 and ft.) duration: 6 hours.
We follow the trail taking us to the Ghopte via Laurebinayak La. On the way, we enjoy the attractions like Manaslu peak, Langtang Lirung, and Ganesh Himal.
Overnight at the tented camp. - Day 12 - Trek to Malemchigaon (2,560m/8,399ft) Duration: 6-7 hours.
We trek along the forest and reach Kharkha covered with rhododendron forest. The stunning view of the Jugal area accompanies us throughout the trek. Then, we descend to the Melamchi river and again ascend up tp Malemchigaon.
Overnight at the teahouse. - Day 13 - Trek to Tarkeghyang (2,590m/8,495ft) Duration: 5-7 hours
We have a cultural tour today. We trek in between the Sherpa village and observe their culture, lifestyle and beautiful monasteries.
Overnight at the teahouse. - Day 14 - Trek to Shermathang (2,610m/8,560ft) period: 3-4 hours
After inspecting the Helambu region, we make our way to a wide valley. We come across the Parachin and Gyangyul settlements. We can feel the sphere of Buddhist religion as we pass these villages.
Overnight at the teahouse. - Day 15 - Trek to Melamchi Bazaar and drive to Kathmandu: 3 to 4 hours hike and 2 hours ride.
We cross the Sherpa village and reach Melamchi Bazaar. From the Melamchi bazaar, we take a drive to Kathmandu.
Overnight at the teahouse. - Day 16 - Final Departure via Tribhuvan International Airport.
We have a short success trekking program and farewell session as well. After that, we lead you to the
International Airport for your flight.

Seasonal highlights of the trek.
Autumn and spring at the month of March to May and September to November are the season for the trek.
These months have great visibility and moderate temperature.
Monsoon and winter can be dangerous to trek, as there are high chances of Landslide and Avalanche.
The trek trails are moist and wet.
Unpredictable weather can obstruct the sightseeing.

I want to say thank you for letting me be in such a wonderful place. The nepalaya hotel is run by young, friendly, agile and helpful people. Basu and his team, including Sujan, are very competent and know their job. I took a helicopter flight to Mount Everest base camp and everything went smoothly. Rajan a very impressive man with a lot of knowledge about Nepal, the temples and the religions I did a day tour. I can only recommend this - especially because of Rajan :)
