- 1. Manaslu is the eighth highest mountain in the world, standing at 8,163 meters (26,781 feet) tall. Its summit is located in the Mansiri Himal range of the Nepalese Himalayas.
- 2. Manaslu is an extremely challenging mountain to climb, and is considered one of the more difficult mountains in the world to scale. It is a technical climb, requiring experience in mountaineering and the use of ropes and other safety equipment.
- 3. Manaslu is a popular destination for trekkers, as the surrounding area is filled with beautiful landscapes, wildlife, and cultural attractions. The nearby villages of Sama Gaun and Samdo offer stunning views of the mountain, and are the starting point for most treks up Mount Manaslu.
The 16-day Manaslu circuit trek is one of the most difficult treks in remote parts of Nepal; that has a vast range of fascinations like Manaslu mastiffs, Larkya La pass (5215 m/ 17109.58 ft), sub-tropical forests, exotic wildlife, landscapes, green meadows, and Gurung villages with unique cultures and traditions. The trek links to Upper Budi Gandaki, called Nupri ( the western mountains). Since the trek elevates to a high altitude, it has a risk of altitude sickness and respiratory problems.
Flaunting the 8th highest mountain in the world, Manaslu, with the correct dose of adventure because of all the technical aspects that need to be taken care of, the Manaslu circuit trek is one of a kind. As the atmospheric pressure decreases with elevation, it is good to consult and take a few pieces of advice from your doctor prior to the trek and stay away from HAPE or HACE.
