- Day 1 - Fly to Lukla,(2850M) Trek to Phakding (2650M)
Begin your adventure by taking a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, the gateway to the Everest region. The flight offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas before landing at one of the world’s most thrilling airports, Tenzing-Hillary Airport in Lukla. From Lukla, start trekking towards Phakding, a picturesque village situated alongside the Dudh Koshi River. The trail descends gently through lush forests, passing through small Sherpa settlements, prayer wheels, and colorful prayer flags. Stay overnight in Phadking.
- Day 2 - Phakding (2650M) to Namche Bazaar (3440M)
Early in the morning you will have your breakfast and continue your trek along the banks of the Dudh Koshi River, crossing several suspension bridges adorned with prayer flags. As you ascend, the trail offers stunning views of Everest and its surrounding peaks. Arrive at Namche Bazaar, the bustling trading hub of the Khumbu region. Namche Bazaar is also known as the gateway of Mount Everest. Namche Bazaar is a vibrant town with colorful markets, bakeries, and shops selling trekking gear. Spend the evening exploring the town about the culture and traditions of local people and acclimatizing to the altitude. Stay overnight in Namche Bazaar.
- Day 3 - Namche Bazaar (3440M) to Tengboche (3855M)
After having your great breakfast in the morning you set out from Namche Bazaar and trek along a scenic trail that offers panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. Pass through rhododendron forests and charming Sherpa villages before reaching Tengboche. Visit the famous Tengboche Monastery, one of the largest monasteries in the Everest region, and witness monks chanting prayers against the backdrop of majestic peaks.
- Day 4 - Tengboche (3855M) to Dingboche (4360M)
After a great breakfast, you continue your journey towards Dingboche, trekking through lush forests and crossing the Imja Khola River. The trail gradually ascends, offering breathtaking views of towering peaks such as Taboche and Cholatse. Dingboche is a picturesque village nestled amidst barley fields, with stunning views of Island Peak and Lhotse. You can capture a great view of the village on your camera for memories. Stay overnight at Dingboche.
- Day 5 - Dingboche (4360M) to Lobuche (4930M)
After having your breakfast you start your trek from Dingboche to Lobuche, where the landscape becomes more rugged and barren. You’ll pass by yak pastures and stone-walled fields, surrounded by towering peaks. The trail offers glimpses of the Khumbu Glacier and the memorial site for climbers who lost their lives on Everest. Arrive in Lobuche, a small settlement situated in a glacial valley, and prepare for the challenging trek ahead. So have a great time in Lobuche. Stay overnight in Lobuche.
- Day 6 - Lobuche (4930M) to Everest Base Camp (5364M) Via Gorakshep (5185M)
So today is the highlight of your trek as you journey towards Everest Base Camp. Trek from Lobuche to Gorakshep, the last settlement before Base Camp. From Gorakshep, embark on a thrilling hike to Everest Base Camp, located at an altitude of 5,364 meters. Marvel at the awe-inspiring Khumbu Icefall and the surrounding Himalayan panorama. After spending time at Base Camp capture the real moment of your lifetime achievement in the camera for memories then, return to Gorakshep for an overnight stay.
- Day 7 - Gorakshep (5185M) to Kalapatthar (5555M) & back to Pheriche (4250M)
Early in the morning, hike to the summit of Kalapatthar (5,545 meters), one of the best vantage points for sunrise views of Everest. From Kalapatthar, enjoy panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and other peaks bathed in golden light. Take a picture and videos of the stunning sunrise with your camera then Descend to Gorakshep for breakfast before trekking back to Pheriche, passing through Lobuche and Dingboche.
- Day 8 - Pheriche (4250M) to Namche Bazaar (3440M)
Bid farewell to the high-altitude landscapes as you descend towards Namche Bazaar. The trail offers stunning views of Everest and Ama Dablam before reaching Tengboche. Stop for a visit to Tengboche Monastery before continuing the descent to Namche Bazaar. Spend the evening exploring the vibrant markets and relaxing at a local teahouse.
- Day 9 - Namche Bazaar (3440M) to Lukla (2850M)
As you trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla, reflect on the incredible journey you’ve undertaken through the Himalayas. The trail descends steeply, passing through rhododendron forests and crossing suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River. Arrive in Lukla and celebrate the successful completion of your trek with your fellow trekkers.
- Day 10 - Fly back to Kathmandu
Today your Short Trek to Everest Base Camp – 10 Days come to an end. Bid farewell to the mountains as you board a scenic flight from Lukla back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to your hotel and take some time to relax and reflect on your Everest Base Camp adventure.
