Overview

Nanga Parbat Base Camp Trek is no doubt one of the spectacular treks in the world. Nanga Parbat is the ninth highest mountain in the world and the second highest in Pakistan after K2. It is Located in Diamir district of Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan. Nanga Parbat is the western anchor of the Himalaya. It is separated from the Karakoram range by the mighty Indus River. It rises directly from the Indus valley.

The breath-taking scenery of majestic fairy Meadow and driving on the famous Karakoram Highway makes the Nanga Parbat base camp trek an amazing Trek in the world. This Trek will take you to the leafy, green, steep hillside and waterfall of the western Himalaya.

  • Day 1 - ARRIVAL DAY IN ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN

    Welcome to Pakistan. Most of the international flights arrives at Islamabad International Airport in the mornings. Your Guide will meet and greet you at the airport, then you will be transfer to the hotel. Rest of the days is free to recover from your journey. Later in the day, we will have a group briefing about Nanga Parbat Base Camp Trek.

  • Day 2 - DRIVE TO CHILLAS (461km) 8-9 HOURS DRIVE

    Today you will leave the purpose-built Capital City Islamabad behind and start your epic Adventure journey towards the North on the famous Karakoram Highway in a coach/JEEP. You will pass through many lush green valleys and small towns to a luxury hotel in Chilas Town. Spend the night in Chilas. Chilas is a small town and it is the getaway to Nanga Parbat and fairy meadows.

  • Day 3 - DRIVE & TREK TO FAIRY MEADOW (3,300m) 6 HOURS

    After breakfast we will start our journey towards Fairy Meadows. We will transfer you to Tatu village on 4×4 Jeeps. After the Jeep ride you will be hiking for 2-3 hours to reach Fairy Meadows. Arriving at The Fairy Meadow, we will spend the night in tents or in comfortable log cabins with wood burners to keep us warm. The Fairy Meadows is the perfect place to chill out and unwind; watch the clouds dance past the mighty Nanga Parbat, the glacier snaking through the valley below, and explore the cool woods surrounding our log cabins. From Fairy Meadow you can see the most beautiful mountain in Pakistan and the ninth highest mountain in the world, Nanga Parbat.

  • Day 4 - TREK TO NANGA PARBAT BASE CAMP (3,500m) 6 HOURS WALK

    Today you will trek to Nanga Parbat base camp. A few kilo-meters after Fairy Meadows, there is a second campsite called Beyal, where it is much quieter and has even better views than the previous camp. After Beyal, the trail gets tougher, although more rewarding. From an alpine forest, the way becomes an arid but impressive landscape, surrounded by snow and ice blocks.

  • Day 5 - TREK BACK TO FAIRY MAIDOW (3,300m) 6 HOURS

    After spending the night at the Nanga parbat Base Camp, we will Trek back to Fairy Meadows. At Fairy Meadows You can fill in your journals, sketch, paint, rest or take photographs of the Beautiful mountain during different times of the day. Sunrises , sunsets and full moons are amazing at fairy meadows.

  • Day 6 - DRIVE BACK TO BESHAM, 9 HOURS

    Leaving The Fairy Meadows and Nanga Parbat behind with so many good memories, will travel back to Raikot Bridge where we will pause for lunch before rejoining Karakoram Highway and continue the journey to Besham. On the way to Besham we drive through Chilas and Dassu travelling along Indus river on Karakoram Highway. Besham is a nice small town with nice hotels. There are no Tourist attraction here. Hot Showers and real bed to sleep tonight.

  • Day 7 - DRIVE BACK TO ISLAMABAD, 8 HOURS DRIVE

    Today we will head towards Islamabad. We will pass through some other culturally rich and historical Towns, Abbot Abad, Hassan Abdal, Haripur and Taxila. Taxila is an important archaeological site of ancient India, situated about 32 km north-west of Islamabad. The origin of Taxila as a city goes back to c.1000 BCE. Some ruins at Taxila date to the time of the Achaemenid Empire in the 6th century BCE.

  • Day 8 - SIGHTSEEING DAY IN ISLAMABAD

    Today you will explore the capital city of Pakistan, Islamabad. It is a purpose-built City, which was built-in 1961 as the new capital of Pakistan. This lush green city is surrounded by the Marghala hills. Faisal Mosque, Marghala Hills and the local Bazars are the main attraction. In the morning we will visit the Faisal mosque and local Markets then heads toward Marghala hill in the afternoon. These attraction remains open seven days a week 24 hours. Parliment house and other main buildings can only be viewed from outside.

  • Day 9 - DEPARTURE DAY-FLY BACK HOME

    Today we will transfer you to the Airport for your flight back home. Your “Nanga parbat base camp trek” conclude here.
