Although almost half of China's population lives in rural areas, there is a staggering gap in income and quality of life. This means that many families are unable to prioritize their children's education, simply because they can't afford to. 95% of students in rural China won't go to college. We believe one meaningful connection can change that. Our mission is to ignite a cultural conversation that educates, inspires, and enriches perspectives.

Working with Communities Toward Innovative Solutions:

We work with teachers and students to help create an interactive curriculum that gets students interested in learning English. The goal is to make the language as practical as possible, with an emphasis on speaking and comprehension.

Creating Global Competency Through Service Learning:

By immersing volunteers in Chinese culture and giving them the experience of living and working alongside locals, volunteers gain global competency: the ability to understand issues from the perspective of the locals.
