Overview
This 4 days Rwanda gorilla trekking safari gives you an opportunity to visit and stay in the mist
of Volcanoes National Park popularly known for harboring the gentle giants as well as grabbing
al the gorilla related vacations in Rwanda. This is the park in Rwanda where you can trek and
liaise with these gentle giants for an hour yielding to a life time experience that you will live to
remember.

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali and transfer to hotel
Day 2: Transfer to volcanoes national park
Day 3: Gorilla trekking / ibyi'wacu

- Day 1 - ARRIVAL AT KIGALI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AND TRANSFER TO HOTEL
On your arrival at Kigali Airport, you will be met by our guide who will meet and greet you and
then transfer you to your hotel taking a 15 minutes’ drive. Dinner and overnight stay at
Chezlando - Day 2 - Transfer to volcanoes national park
After a morning breakfast at your hotel, your driver guide will pick you up and lead you for a
guided city tour in the vibrant capital of Kigali where you visit interesting historical sites. You will
learn more about Rwanda’s heart-rending history at the Genocide Memorial Centre where
259,000 bodies of genocide victims were given a decent burial. Later, your driver guide will pick
you and drive to Volcanoes National Park well known for grabbing all the gorilla related attention
in Rwanda. Drive through the unwinding hills into the home of endangered and most loved
creatures. On arrival, check in to your hotel and have lunch and later have a relaxed afternoon.
Dinner and overnight: Lalocanda lodge - Day 3 - ULTIMATE GORILLA TREKKING/ IBY’IWACU
This is the highlight of your Safari. Wake up very early and have your breakfast before heading
to the park offices of a briefing at 8:00 AM. After this, you will be accompanied by armed ranger
guides in the forest to search for the Mountain Gorillas. You will pass through the forest,
slashing at the undergrowth, parting thick creepers, to track gorillas. The time taken to track the
Gorillas is unpredictable since it depends on their movements in search for food and shelter.
However, it can take from 1 to 9 hours. Upon reaching the Gorillas, you will have one hour with
them and this will enable you to sit down and watch them as they interact with each other,
communicate and you are also free to take photographs and Videos. Return to lodge for lunch
and later visit the gorilla guardian’s village for Iby’iwacu cultural experience where you will meet
traditional cultural troops that will welcome you and Usher you into the ancient traditions of
honor and hospitality that will make you discover Rwandan culture. You will be invited to join
and try out these traditional moves and take pictures which will keep memories for long in your
life time. Dinner and overnight: Lalocanda lodge - Day 4 - Golden monkey trekking and departure
Have an early morning breakfast and retrieve to Kinigi park offices by 7:30am for morning
briefing about Golden Monkeys Trekking code of conduct before heading out in the jungle to
search for them. You are granted an hour with these shy creatures before heading back to
lodge for lunch. Later in the afternoon, you will head back to Kigali. Enriched with an experience
of a lifetime and unforgettable memories you will say goodbye to the land of a thousand hills.
Depending on the time of departure you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back
home.
