📚 Program Overview

Volunteers assist in classrooms that are often overcrowded and understaffed, helping to teach subjects such as English, mathematics, science, and more. The program aims to bridge the gap in educational resources and support local teachers in delivering quality education. 

🧒 What You’ll Be Doing
• Assisting in Classrooms: Support local teachers by helping with lesson delivery, classroom management, and individual student assistance.
• Subject Areas: Teach English, mathematics, science, and other subjects based on the school’s curriculum and needs.
• Creative Activities: Engage students in creative learning activities to enhance their educational experience.
• E-Learning Initiatives: Participate in programs where children use educational tablets to improve their literacy and digital skills. 
• School Holidays: During breaks, volunteers can work in local children’s homes, providing care, support, and informal education. 

🏠 Accommodation & Support

Volunteers are accommodated in shared rooms at the Tanzania Volunteers Hostel or in homestays with local families. The program includes:
• Orientation: Comprehensive orientation covering Tanzanian customs, safety, language lessons (Kiswahili), and an introduction to the project and placement. 
• Meals: Breakfast and dinner from Monday to Friday. 
• Support: 24/7 emergency contact and guidance from experienced coordinators. 
• Transportation: Airport transfers to and from Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport. 

🌍 Program Details
• Duration: Minimum of 4 weeks, up to 6 months.
• Fees: Program fees range from $50–$70 per week, covering accommodation, meals, and support services.
• Start Dates: Orientation begins on the 1st and 15th of every month.
