We have designed the Everest Base Camp Trek Itinerary in an advanced way concerning acclimatization very seriously. Though it is customized as the 15 days of the EBC Trek itinerary, the trekking days are only 12 days including the rest days as well. It includes all the interesting places that lie in the Everest region.
The Sherpa culture and monasteries are awesome. The Everest view is very beautiful. Besides, the other snowcapped peaks like Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, and so on are also be seen very gorgeously. The sunrise view over the Himalayas from Kalapatthar is speechlessly beautiful.

- Day 1 - Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon your arrival at the International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be picked up by one of our representatives and transferred to the hotel.
- Day 2 - Day 02 : Drive to Ramechhap by private vehicle, fly to Lukla (30 min) and trek to Phakding (3 - 4 hours walk)
Today, you are going to begin your trekking to Everest base camp. So, you need to reach Lukla first. But due to the inaccessibility of Kathmandu Airport, you need to go to Manthali Airport at Ramechhap for the Lukla flight. It takes almost 5 hours to reach Ramechhap from Kathmandu. So, you need to wake up very early in the morning, get the packed breakfast, and have a drive to Ramechhap. Once you reach there, you will have an approximately 20 minutes scenic flight to Lukla. while on the plane, you enjoy the views of mountains and hilly areas. Then your EBC trek embarks on in the Khumbu region.
It takes about 4 hours to reach Phakding. You walk along the downhill almost all the way to Phakding. However, you enjoy the views of the mountains too.
- Day 3 - Day 03 : Trek to Namche Bazaar (5 - 6 hours walk)
Today’s trek takes you to the major land of the Sherpa people of this region i.e. Namche Bazaar. After having breakfast, your trek continues through the forest of pine and crosses the Dudh Koshi River. Then you enter the Sagarmatha National Park. From there, you pass some beautiful villages by crossing and walking along the suspension bridge and the Dudh Koshi and the Bhote Koshi Rivers. Finally, you are warmly welcomed by the residents of Namche in front of the Himalayan views.
- Day 4 - Acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar
This is the day for acclimatization. So, you spend your whole day exploring the Namche Bazaar or you may join the hiking activities too. You can hike either to Everest National Park or to Khumjung Valley. Both are remarkable. However, you can enroll in any kind of activity according to your interests and itinerary.
- Day 5 - Trek to Tengboche (5- 6 hours walk)
Today you are heading to the beautiful place known as Tengboche which is also full of Sherpa tribes. The largest monastery in the Khumbu region is also located in Tengboche i.e. called the Tengboche Monastery. You can uncover it only after reaching there.
- Day 6 - Trek to Dingboche (5 - 6 hours walk)
Today you need to walk along the moderate and ascending path. Anyway, your walk goes through the forests of rhododendron, conifers, etc. Then the continuation of your trek takes you to Pangboche enjoying the views of mountains including Mt. Everest. From there, you go to Imja Valley and a lit bit of steep ascending takes you to your today’s destination.
- Day 7 - Acclimatization day at Dingboche
This is another day for acclimatization. So, you take a delicious breakfast in front of the Himalayan giants in a very relaxed way compared to other days. You spend the whole day visiting the surroundings. You may also go for a short climb to the nearest viewpoints.
- Day 8 - Trek to Lobuche (5-6 hrs walk)
On this day, you will go up to the Khumbu Glacier and pass the row of stone monuments that were built in the memory of six Sherpas who died in an avalanche at Lobuche. The place Lobuche has only a few huts at the foot of Himalayan giants.
- Day 9 - Trek to Gorak Shep and hike to Everest Base Camp (6-7 hours walk)
Today you are going to meet your final destination, though; the Gorak Shep is your today’s ending point. So, your trekking takes you to Gorak Shep at first. From there, you hike to the Everest Base Camp. It is quite difficult walking along with the rocky glaciers. However, you reach the Base Camp and plunge into the very closer views of surrounding snowcapped peaks. After spending some time, you come down to Gorak Shep by retracing the previous way.
- Day 10 - Hike to Kala Patthar (5,545m/18,192ft) and trek to Pheriche (7-8 hours walk)
While comparing to other trekking days, today you leave Gorak Shep a bit early in the morning because you are going to hike to the Kala Patthar. After reaching on top of it, you enjoy the views of Himalayan sceneries including Mt. Everest. After taking the snapshots of picturesque mountains, you trek down to the Gorak Shep again and have lunch there. Then you descend to the Pheriche.
- Day 11 - Trek to Namche Bazaar (6 - 7 hours walk)
Today you are going back to Namche Bazaar. So, your trail retraces the previous way after reaching Pangboche village. You reach there by descending through the forest and also crossing the suspension bridge over the Imja River.
- Day 12 - Trek to Lukla (6 - 7 hours walk)
Your trail retraces the previous path and takes you to the Lukla
- Day 13 - Fly back to Ramechhap and drive back to Kathmandu
Today you will have the early morning flight to Ramechhap. So, you fly along the previous airways over the Everest ranges and reach Manthali. From there, you will have a drive back to Kathmandu by retracing the previous roadways. After reaching there, you will be transferred to the hotel.
- Day 14 - Final departure
This is your last day in Nepal. So, you are dropped to the International Airport by our staff almost 3 hours before your flight time.
