Overview

Embark on an Adventure safari to Uganda for an opportunity to explore a diverse range of ecosystems, including lush rainforests, expansive savannahs, towering mountains, and tranquil lakes. This remarkable natural landscape provides a home to a wide array of wildlife species, making Uganda a haven for nature enthusiasts and wildlife lovers.

Upon arrival at Entebbe international airport, you will be welcomed by our designated meet and greet lounge host who helps you with VISA and luggage collection. Please look for a white sign board with your name. After immigration and luggage collection, you will then be handed over to our driver guide, who will transfer you to your hotel in the vibrant capital of Uganda (Kampala) for dinner and overnight (1.5hrs drive).

  • Day 1 - ARRIVAL AT ENTEBBE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

    Upon arrival at Entebbe international airport, you will be welcomed by our designated meet and greet lounge host who helps you with VISA and luggage collection. Please look for a white sign board with your name. After immigration and luggage collection, you will then be handed over to our driver guide, who will transfer you to your hotel in the vibrant capital of Uganda (Kampala) for dinner and overnight (1.5hrs drive).

  • Day 2 - ZIWA RHIONOS – TRANSFER TO MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

    Wake up early and have breakfast. Depart at 06h00 for a 7hrs to Murchison Falls national park. After 3.5hrs drive, you will stopover at Ziwa rhino sanctuary for rhino tracking. After this amazing activity, you will proceed to Kabalega dinners to have lunch at 13h00. Thereafter, you will then continue with your journey to Murchison falls. Upon arrival, you will drive to your lodge in the middle of the park, check-in and enjoy an evening at leisure. Murchison Falls National Park has 76 mammal species and 451 bird species. Reptiles like the Nile crocodile, hippo and the rare semi-aquatic Sitatunga antelope. The big game mammals that you may have a glimpse at include; Lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, Rothschild’s giraffes, warthogs, giant forest hog, Uganda Kob, topi and waterbuck to mention but a few.

  • Day 3 - GAME DRIVE - LAUNCH CRUISE – HIKE TO THE TOP OF THE FALLS

    Very early after breakfast at 06h00, your guide will pick you up for an early morning game drive. The morning drive will offer you a great opportunity to watch Africa’s unspoilt Savanna and the big 5 animals that include lions, elephants, buffaloes and leopards. You will spot rest of other wildlife including giraffes, Hartebeest, Bushbucks, Jackal, hyena, oribis, Uganda kobs and many others. After this amazing game drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon at 14h00, you will enjoy a 3hours boat ride sailing to the bottom of the falls along the river Nile. The Nile hosts large concentrations of Hippos and crocodiles as well as a number of bird species including the rare shoebill stork, Fish Eagle, African Skimmer, Grey-crowned Crane, Black-headed Gonolek, Goliath Heron, Green-winged, Long-toed Plover, Saddle-billed Stork. Following the end of your boat cruise, you will start the hike to the top of the falls for a tour around the falls with ranger guides. Upon reaching the falls, sounds of the roaring thunder of the river Nile welcomes you as you feel the force of the water under your feet as the half a kilometer-wide river narrows through just 7m wide and cascades down through a 45m drop.

  • Day 4 - TRANSFER TO KIBALE NATIONAL PARK

    Following breakfast at 06h00, you will enjoy a scenic drive through remote villages from Murchison falls national park to Kibale. Upon arrival at Kibale national park, you will transfer to your lodge fully surrounded by the mystical calls of the monkeys followed by an evening at leisure enjoying complementary activities offered by the lodge. Over a dozen primates inhabit this national park, and various types of monkeys grace the trees around your verandah.

  • Day 5 - CHIMPANZEE TREKKING – COMMUNITY WALK AT BIGODI WETLANDA SANCTUARY

    After breakfast, your diver guide will pick you up and transfer you to Kanyancu visitor center for a briefing at 07h30 prior to chimpanzee trekking. After an enthralling search for the chimpanzees in the forest, you are granted 1 hour with them taking photographs and videos before you return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch at 14h00, you will visit Bigodi wetland sanctuary a community-based conserved effort for a village walk to immerse you into the interesting cultures of the community.

  • Day 6 - NATURE WALK – TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH PARK

    After breakfast 07h30, your guide will drive you for 30 Minutes to Bigodi swamp visitor reception center for a briefing prior to undertaking a guided nature walk into the wetland. While on this amazing nature walk, expect to have a glimpse to numerous primate species including L’hoest monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, red colobus monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, a number of baboons and chimpanzees. Other animals to watch are the mongooses, wild pigs, antelopes, otter and on rare occasions forest elephants. Birders enjoy this spot a lot as the swamp is gigantic birders paradise with an estimate of over 200 bird species recorded such as the most precious National bird the crested crane, great blue turaco, hornbills among others. After the nature walk, you will return to the lodge of lunch. After lunch at 14h00, you will board your Safari vehicle and drive for 4 hours to Queen Elizabeth national park. Upon arrival, you will check in to your lodge followed by an evening at leisure viewing the vast Savanna plains.

  • Day 7 - GAME DRIVE - BOAT CRUISE

    After breakfast at 06h00, you will step out of the lodge for an incredible wildlife safari. The wildlife to look out for include lions, elephants, buffaloes and leopards, giraffes, Hartebeest, Bushbucks, Jackal, hyena, oribis, Uganda kobs and many others. you will have lunch at mweya safari lodge. After lunch at 15h00, you will enjoy the afternoon boat cruise along Kazinga channel which will reveal a succession of giants. Elephant herds squirt water on the banks as large hippo pods roll on sandbanks, and crocodiles bathe in the sun. After this breath-taking activity, you will then be transferred to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

  • Day 8 - TRANSFER TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

    At 06h00, After breakfast, you will be transferred to Bwindi national park via isolated Ishasha sector iconic for its tree climbing lions. Upon registering at the visitor reception, you continue to the park with a guide to help you point out the tree climbing lions. On finishing this exciting and amazing search, you will go for a lunch break in Kihihi before you embark on your 1.5hrs scenic journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park. Upon arrival at the park, check in at lodge, followed by dinner and overnight stay.

  • Day 9 - ULTIMATE GORILLA TREKKING

    Begin your day with a delightful early morning breakfast. Thereafter, you will be transferred to the Buhoma visitor reception center for the briefing from the Uganda wildlife officials prior to entering the jungle to search the shy mountain gorillas and enjoy their life style in their real home. After meeting the gorillas, you can sit around these great apes for a whole hour gazing into their big round eyes. On a gorilla safari, a reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as walking shoes, packed food and mineral water, insect repellent, sun screen and hut. The gorilla tracking experience takes half or whole day depending on the movement of these primates. After this gorilla tracking experience, you will be chauffeured back to the lodge for a lunch followed by an afternoon a leisure.

  • Day 10 - FULL DAY COMMUNITY EXPERIENCE INCLUDING BATWA CULTURAL EXPERIENCE

    Following breakfast at 09h00, you will visit the Batwa community for Batwa cultural experience where you get to Learn as you enjoy one of the most authentic cultures. Your guide will usher you through their forest life and wrap up your visit by watching these pygmies dance, sing the cultural songs as well as storytelling, handling the bow and arrow, gather honey, and picking herbal medicine from roots and leaves a local way of treating the people. After lunch at around 15h00, you will then indulge yourself in a community walk including visiting Buhoma community hospital a non-profit entity that offers free medical services to the community people. 70% of the hospital operations are from tourist donations. You will later visit Ride for a woman another charity organization that works towards elevating and empowering women through social schemes.

  • Day 11 - TRANSFER TO KIGALI

    Following a relaxed breakfast at 10h00, you will take a +4-hour scenic drive to Kigali via Katuna-Gatuna border. Upon arrival in Kigali, you will check-in at the Retreat followed by lunch. Your afternoon will be spent at leisure whilst utilizing hotel amenities including the swimming pool.

  • Day 12 - TRANSFER TO BUKAVU DRC

    On this beautiful day, you will have an early breakfast at 06h00, you will then be transferred to DR Congo in Bukavu city via Rusizi border (+6hrs drive). Upon arrival in Bukavu, you will check-in at Orchid Hotel. In the afternoon at 15h00, you will be picked up by your guide for yet an exciting sightseeing tour in the city of Bukavu.

  • Day 13 - GORILLA TREKKING IN KAHUZA BIEGA

    After breakfast at 06h30. You will depart the hotel at 07h30 and drive to Kahuza Biega park headquarters for a briefing at 08h30 prior to undertaking the low land gorilla trekking experience at 09h00. The entire process takes up to 3 hours including 1 hour of interacting and taking photographs after you have met up with the gorillas. Following this amazing trucking, you will return and check-in to the hotel followed by lunch. After lunch, you will head out and visit “Sauti ya wambuti” a local community projact that brings together the pygimies. While here, you will learn more about their cultures as you participate in their folk songs, dances and storytelling. Thereafter, you will return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

  • Day 14 - MORNING BIRDING - TRANSFER TO KIGALI

    Wake-up early and have breakfast. At 07h00, you will report to the park reception for a briefing prior to undertaking morning birdwatching in the park. Thereafter, you will take a +6-hour scenic drive to Kigali with en-route lunch. Upon arrival in Kigali, you will check-in at the Retreat. Your evening will be spent at leisure whilst utilizing hotel amenities including the swimming pool.

  • Day 15 - KIGALI GENOCIDE MEMORIAL – SOUVENIR SHOPPING - DEPARTURE

    On this charming day after a relaxed breakfast at 10h00, your driver guide will drive you for 20 Minutes to Kigali Genocide Memorial to commemorate the 1994 Tutsi Genocide where the remains of over 250,000 people are interred. Thereafter, You will have lunch at the Hut before heading to shop for souvenirs at selection of key Souvenir shops including Kimironko Market. Depending on your flight time, you be transferred to the airport for your flight home.
